We’re excited to announce the public release of CUVI v2.0, a highly stable version that has been rigorously tested and already deployed in numerous real-time applications worldwide across Windows, Linux, and Jetson platforms.
Key Improvements in v2.0:
– Enhanced Focus Stacking: The Focus Stacking algorithm now provides additional slice information alongside the final stacked image. This valuable data aids in debugging and critical mission applications. For detailed information, please refer to our wiki.
– Expanded Low-Light Enhancement: The low-light enhancement function now supports monochrome images, broadening its applicability.
– Advanced Demosaicing: We’ve introduced the demosaicHQLI
function, which supports large window sizes (up to 9 pixels) for high-quality linear interpolation demosaicing of Bayer-patterned color images. This implementation is based on the research by Henrique S. Malvar, Li-wei He, and Ross Cutler from Microsoft Research. [link]
– Robust Framework: Under the hood, we’ve significantly revamped the internal framework to improve speed, reliability, and adherence to modern C++ standards, solidifying v2.0 as a remarkably stable release.
